Manual lymphatic drainage is a massage technique. It is successfully used in cosmetics and physical therapy. With this therapeutic method we have an effect on the re-establishment of balance of fluids in the organism.
In practice, the imbalance of bodily fluids manifests itself as chronic fatigue, the tendency of the feet or the entire body to swell. Lymphatic therapists implement this therapy preventively.
All operations which damage the lymphatic system result in swelling, which we call lymph edema. Numerous plastic surgeries of the face require lymphatic drainage.
The role of the lymphatic therapist is crucial for a fast and successful post-operative rehabilitation. Face lifting, blepharoplasty, plastic surgery of the nose, lyposuction and other plastic surgeries, are much more effective with the timely aplication of lymphatic drainage.
